The best advice on motherhood I’ve ever received
You’ll receive a lot of advice as a mother, but the best advice I’ve received [from our wonderful child health nurse] is to filter through and only consume the information that’s helpful to you. Every mother, every child and every family is different, so it’s important to do what’s right for you and your baby.
Advice for moms - Don’t be hard on yourself, nurture yourself (because it really does make you a better mother) and trust your instincts.

This quote reminds me that our children are not our possessions or things to be proud of and show off. They are their own people and we have a responsibility and privilege as parents to love and nurture them without trying to shape them into what we want them to be.
Advice for moms going through their pregnancy journey
Everybody does it differently, do what works for you and don’t feel pressured by what everyone else is doing. At the end of the day, you know what’s best for your child.
What are you looking forward to the most with the arrival of your newborn?
I’m really looking forward to meeting our little girl, getting to know her. Finding out what makes her laugh or cry. What parts of me I see or what parts of her dad she takes on. It’s all so exciting!
