Mother’s Day Love from our #WCOgirlgang Moms Around the World

Mother’s Day Love from our #WCOgirlgang Moms Around the World
#WCOgirlgang around the world

In honour of Mother’s Day this year, we are celebrating these amazing mommas we know and love. These women inspire us not only with their super chic outfits, but through their motherhood and pregnancy journey - sharing candidly the joy, challenges and beauty of being a mom.

In this series, they talk about the sweetest thing about motherhood, the best mom advice they’ve received and share a short message to their little ones.

Kiara King (@lioninthewild)

Mom to Chase Richard

The sweetest thing about being a mom is ….’ that intense feeling of love I feel unconditionally for our son and sharing that with my husband.

The best advice on motherhood I’ve ever received

You’ll receive a lot of advice as a mother, but the best advice I’ve received [from our wonderful child health nurse] is to filter through and only consume the information that’s helpful to you. Every mother, every child and every family is different, so it’s important to do what’s right for you and your baby.

Advice for moms - Don’t be hard on yourself, nurture yourself (because it really does make you a better mother) and trust your instincts.

Wendy Liu (@withwendy)

When my baby is here, I’m really looking forward to an excuse to unplug and just focus on me and my family!

A message to my little one ‘we’re scared, we’re not perfect, but we’re so excited to meet you!’

The best advice on motherhood I ever received is ‘as much as you’re raising a baby, you’re also becoming a parent, both processes are important ❤️ ’

Farhanah Firdaus (@faafirds)

Mom to Eva Talia Iman

The best thing about being a mom is waking up everyday, seeing my baby's cute face and being reminded of the unconditional love I have for her ❤️

A message to my little Eva - Momma loves you so much, and I just want you to be happy, safe and healthy bubba. I would do anything for you.

The best advice on motherhood I’ve received - You deserve it (food, handbags ANYTHING) mom! Treat yourself!

Advice for moms - You're already doing a GREAT job momma!

Shareeta Selvaraj (@shar.eeta)

#girlmom to be

A message to my little one - You are so, so loved by so many around you and we haven’t even met you yet! It’s incredible the amount of joy you have already brought by just existing!

The best advice on motherhood I’ve ever received

“Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself… You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow…” by Kahlil Gibran

This quote reminds me that our children are not our possessions or things to be proud of and show off. They are their own people and we have a responsibility and privilege as parents to love and nurture them without trying to shape them into what we want them to be.

Advice for moms going through their pregnancy journey

Everybody does it differently, do what works for you and don’t feel pressured by what everyone else is doing. At the end of the day, you know what’s best for your child.

What are you looking forward to the most with the arrival of your newborn?

I’m really looking forward to meeting our little girl, getting to know her. Finding out what makes her laugh or cry. What parts of me I see or what parts of her dad she takes on. It’s all so exciting!

Team W+Co wishes all moms a very happy Mother’s Day!
